Craigalmond District is excited to be running a camp that is available to all of its members.
Previous Craigalmond events in both Beaver and Cub sections have proved to be very popular with positive feedback received from both adult and youth participants.
It is hoped that an event of this nature will give young people and adults the opportunity to share scouting experiences with friends from outwith their own group, understand what it is to be part of the larger family of scouting and strengthen links between groups and leader networks within our District.
This is a great chance for young people to get a taste of a bigger scouting event and take part in new and exciting activities!
It is a two night camp for Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and a one night sleepover for Beavers. There will be lots of exciting activities on offer for all age groups.
We are also looking for volunteers to join our organising teams. If you would like to help out in any of the following areas: Administration, Logistics’, Sub camps, Programme please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
including climbing, caving, low ropes and watersports at Longcraigs. There will also be lots of games and craft activities and the opportunity to complete some badgework throughout he weekend
The programme is currently being developed and a full list of activities will be released in the New Year.
Our camp theme will be announced in August along with details of our badge design competition!
Individual sections can attend, if wished, although this should be done through a nominated group co-ordinator.
Interest should be register online by 28th June including estimated numbers of young people and leaders for each section.
Please include nil returns.
however, if that is going to be difficult it should be indicated at registration and all efforts will be made to join groups together to allow everybody who wants to attend.
